What do Roger Federer, Lindsey Vonn and SwissLegal have in common?

This year SwissLegal again addressed a special thank you to the employees of the "Back-Office" - they did so at the world-famous Chocolateria der Lindt & Sprüngli in Kilchberg, where world stars such as Roger Federer, Lindsey Vonn as well as stars and starlets from the international film and music scene touched the chocolate ladle. After a very cordial and informative reception, the SwissLegal guests were given the opportunity to learn about the sweet secrets of the chocolate factory and its history under the expert guidance as well as to demonstrate their own creativity in practice.
Please find the whole article (in German) and other sweet secrets about Swiss chocolate in the enclosed report - it's worth taking a bite!

Heinrich Spühler, on behalf of the SwissLegal Group, greeted around two dozen visibly good-humoured participants at the Lindt & Sprüngli site in Kilchberg for this year's "Back-Office" employee event. The occasional chocolate scent in the air already revealed that this must be a very special place, where gold bears and gold hares meet, where truffes and cherry sticks compete and pralines vie for the favour of the guests. But behind that, there is hard work and great passion – not just the chocolate side of life that one could imagine!

After an exciting introduction to the extraction of the cocoa plant, the SwissLegal guests received a brief chronological outline of the origin and the production of the world-famous Swiss milk chocolate, which owes its existence to a Swiss inventor named Philippe Suchard, who apparently invented it in the early 19th century. In 1879, the Swiss chocolate pioneer Rodolphe Lindt finally invented the conching process (heating chocolate and stirring it for a long time), thus laying the foundation for the tasty and melting (milk) chocolate as we know it today.

After the theoretical part and the statement that the "Schoggi" is in fact a Swiss invention, the participants were (finally) invited to work themselves and to prove their dexterity when filling the champagne truffes. After that, the second task was to refine ten chocolate blanks each. There was a choice of liquid chocolate (white, milk, dark), various decorative ingredients and a "fork" to refine and decorate the blanks. Silently, the guests watched as the three chocolatiers producing funny faces, flowers, animals and other artistic figures onto the blanks. After that, it was SwissLegal’s turn: Somewhat less experienced but with a whole lot of chocolate, the SwissLegal team took up this creative challenge and achieved remarkable results, as the pictures show.

And finally, the sweet afternoon programme was rounded off with a good glass of wine, a range of carefully selected snacks at the Restaurant Bärengasse, which not only did a great job too, but also marked the end of an eventful employee’s day.

Life doesn't always play on the chocolate side.
